The Gore Public School staff and the Masonic Lodge 14 of Webbers Falls will host a cookout and softball game 11 a.m. Wednesday at the high school softball field to help raise money for high school secretary Robyn Shry, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
The softball field is on Oklahoma 10, next to the high school. The cookout will feature barbecue sandwiches, hot links, bologna, hamburgers and hot dogs. Beans, chips and drinks also will be available. People may eat at the field or take the food out in carry-out containers.
There will also be a benefit softball game between the staff of Gore Schools and the senior class. Donations accepted.
