The Arthritis Foundation’s Self-Help Program will begin April 3 at the Muskogee County Health Department.
The six-week course is 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays and will give participants information, confidence and skills on how to assume responsibility and take action for the daily management of arthritis or fibromyalgia.
The course fee is $20, which includes the textbook. Limited partial scholarships are available. Pre-registration is required, as the class is limited to 20 people.
The course topics and activities include pain management, stress management, exercise, nutrition, communication, use of medications, problem solving and goal setting.
