Oklahoma children are invited to participate in the Oklahoma Historical Society nature photography contest. The subject is “Field, Forest and Stream.” Photo subjects can include camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, scenic landscapes, plants and animals.
The contest will be divided into three age groups: grades one to five, grades six to eight, and grades nine to 12.
All entries must be postmarked by March 21. Entries should be submitted as 8-by-10 inch prints, no emails will be accepted and there is a limit of two entries per person.
The photos will be judged on creativity, photographic technique and originality.
Winning entries will be exhibited at the Oklahoma History Center.
Winners will be announced on April 3, 2008 on the Oklahoma Historical Society web page, www.okhistory.org/kids. Additional information is posted on that web page.
