Two people were killed and one critically injured about 7 p.m. Monday night in a one-vehicle accident about 3 1/2 miles south of Warner on Oklahoma 2.
Orlando D. Noel, 15, of Porum was pronounced dead on arrival at Muskogee Regional Medical Center with head and trunk internal injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Amber N. Mann, 33, of Porum also was pronounced dead upon arrival at MRMC with head and trunk internal injuries.
Teresa E. Milligan, 51, of Muskogee was transported to MRMC and later taken by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, were she was listed in critical condition Monday night with trunk and internal injuries, the OHP said.
Milligan’s condition was listed as serious late Tuesday afternoon, a St. Francis spokeswoman said.
Noel was driving a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup southbound on Oklahoma 2 when he drove off the west roadway edge, came back onto the roadway, overcorrecting back to the west, according to the OHP report.
The truck went into a broad slide, overturning 1 1/2 times, partially ejecting the driver and Mann. Milligan was ejected 27 feet south and 11 feet west from the point the pickup came to rest, the report said.
Seatbelts were equipped but not in use. The truck was equipped with airbags, but they did not deploy.
An employee at Porum High School said Noel was new to the area, moving to rural Porum too late to enter school last year and school had not started this year.
