A Muskogee man scheduled to be tried this week for three felonies stemming from the sexual abuse of a young girl pleaded guilty to all three counts.
In pleading guilty, Harold Wayne Hicks, 51, admitted his alleged acts of forcible sodomy, rape by instrumentation and child sexual abuse. The acts, according to prosecutors, occurred between July 2001 and February 2005 and involved a girl who was about 7 years old when the molestation began.
Prosecutors have said Hicks threatened the girl in order to have his way with her.
According to court records, a presentence investigation will be completed before Hicks appears at 10 a.m. Sept. 6 for a sentence hearing. Hicks has been held in Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond since his arrest in May 2006.
