A 57-year-old Muskogee man appeared in court Wednesday after being charged in connection with the alleged molestation of a girl younger than 16.
If convicted of the lewd molestation charge, John M. Robinson Jr. could face from three to 20 years in prison. According to court documents, Robinson forced the girl to disrobe and then he “began to rub his naked body on top of her naked body.”
The incident, which is alleged to have occurred Jan. 7, was investigated by the Muskogee Police Department. The single charge was filed May 9.
According to court documents, Robinson was being held on a $50,000 bond in Muskogee County/City Detention Facility. He was ordered to refrain from communicating with any witnesses or the alleged victim.
Robinson is scheduled to appear in court for the sounding docket June 27, at which time a preliminary hearing should be set.
