Native American workshops offered

TULSA — Native American Cultural Workshops are offered to culturally enrich the lives of native youth. Enrollment is open for youth ages 10 to 18. The free classes are from June 4 to July 13 at the Downtown Central Library and the National Indian Monument and Institute’s offices at 412 N. Boston Ave.

The “Theater Workshop” features American Indian Theater Company’s Will Hill, the first Native American to ever perform at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI).

For six weeks the summer workshops will provide a deep understanding about scripts, interpretations, voice, movement and sound. The workshops will conclude with an evening of poetry, song, theatrical performance and special guests, and will be open to the community.
