The Rural Smallholder Association is sponsoring a producer sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Tahlequah Livestock Barn at the Community Building. This is an opportunity for people interested in starting a herd or getting animals for show purposes. More than 100 animals will be available and will include lambs, wethers, ewes, rams, bucks, nannies and kids. Prices are negotiable on the date of sale between owners and buyers.
The mission of the RSA is to improve the quality of life for rural small farmers. The goal is to develop a good relationship between rural producers and those who live in area towns to ensure a quality product and one that is environmentally safe.
All of the animals are raised by local small farm producers, so buyers can meet the owners and know that they are getting healthy animals with good breeding backgrounds.
Concession will be provided. For more information, call Polly Dewees at 772-3578 or Dale at 456-9229.
