A Muskogee man who allegedly bit a Muskogee County deputy before leading authorities on a two-hour chase was charged Friday in Muskogee County District Court.
Zachary Ryan Rogers, 21, was charged with five felonies:
• Two counts of assault and battery on a police officer;
• Escape from arrest or detention;
• Falsely personate another to create liability; and
• Obstructing an officer.
Rogers is being held at the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on $20,000 bond.
The U.S. Mashal’s Fugitive Task Force was attempting to arrest Rogers Tuesday on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender, as well as a series of parole violations.
Rogers was apprehended just after noon Tuesday.
Rogers returns to court at 9 a.m. Nov. 19 for a preliminary hearing to decide whether he’ll be bound over for trial.
