Law enforcers seek info on vandals

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office officials and the Grand River Dam Authority are seeking information regarding the identity of  people who damaged several electrical substations in Cherokee County.

A CCSO release states suspects used a firearm to shoot inside the substations, causing approximately $1 million in damage.

The release says the substations are shared and maintained by Lake Region Electric, the Grand River Dam Authority, and KAMO Electric Cooperative.

Those groups have offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the substation shootings.  Any information can be directed to Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chennault at (918) 456-2583 or GRDA Investigator Lissa Brown at (918) 256-0911.
