Blood drive Tuesday at Gore High School

— Oklahoma Blood Institute will hold a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gore High School, 1200 North Way 10.

Each blood donor at the drive will receive an OBI T-shirt, free health screenings and Donor Rewards points. Blood donors can choose to forgo the donor appreciation items. Then, funds designated for these items will be directed to Global Blood Fund, a charity whose mission is to make safe blood available in the world’s poorest countries.

Anyone who is 16 years and older and healthy can donate, but 16-year-olds must weigh at least 125 and provide signed parental permission, and 17-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds. Anyone 18 and older must weigh at least 110 pounds.
