Howard Dorsey moves a pile of dirt Wednesday at the Muskogee Civic Center in preparation for this week’s Bull Riders Inc. National Finals Rodeo. Blake Burns of BRI said 220 tons of dirt were being placed on the civic center floor. Events will begin at 10 a.m. Friday with the “Celebrate Black History Month School Day Rodeo.” The first 500 kids inside the doors will receive a free coloring book and crayons. The rodeo begins at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Doors open each night at 6 p.m. There will be an Exceptional Rodeo at 10 a.m. Saturday for children with special needs.
