Neighborhood hit with burglary spree

— Police are warning residents to lock their cars following a rash of burglaries in the Phoenix Village area Wednesday night and early Thursday.

Seven burglaries were reported in the area during that period. Police said they believe the burglaries are connected.

“People need to remember not to leave valuables in their car,” Lt. Bobby Lee said. “Secure your vehicles in a garage if possible.”

Burglars also are breaking windows and damaging property to get to items.

Residents who see suspicious people late at night are urged to call police: (918) 683-8000.
