Two people shot at a mobile home park on Muskogee’s west side remained in critical condition Saturday, an investigator on the case said.
Darrell and April Perry were shot inside their mobile home at 2405 N. 32nd St., #68 about 3:30 p.m. Friday. Darrell, 52, called 911 to report the shooting, but quickly became unresponsive, according to dispatch logs.
Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Faye Banks said family members were relaying the Perrys’ conditions to investigators as they pieced together the events leading up to and following the double-shooting.
The Perrys’ neighbors said the couple owned a blue Dodge Neon, which was not outside the residence when officers arrived Friday. Banks said Saturday the vehicle had been located and searched, and a small handgun had been found inside. Banks would not comment on if the driver of the vehicle had been arrested or questioned.
“I can’t say yet,” Banks said. “We’re too early in the investigation. Right now we’re just working our tail off, trying to put it all together.”
