EASTAR Health System announced the appointment of Deborah Kifer, RN, MSN, to the position of system chief nursing officer, effective April 1. She comes to EASTAR from Midwest Regional Medical Center in Midwest City, where she served as chief nursing officer. Kifer has more than 37 years experience in nurse management and administrative experience, including experience in cardiac care, critical care, pediatric and obstetrical nursing, medical-surgical nursing and experience in the operating room, emergency room, outpatient infusion services and home health services.
“We are very pleased to welcome Deborah to the team,” Kevin Fowler, System Chief Executive Officer of EASTAR Health System, said in a media release. “She brings to our system a strong background in nurse management and a history of advocating for high-quality, safe and efficient care. We know she will help us continue the incredible work being done by our nurses every day, as well as help us move the mark” said Fowler.
