Body of drowned Checotah man found

— The body of a Checotah man who drowned was located Monday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The body of Jerry Tucker, 61, was recovered at 9:23 a.m. about 500 yards southwest of the Indian Springs boat ramp on Lake Eufaula, the OHP report states.

The body of Stoney Tucker, 47, of Lewisville, Idaho, was recovered Sunday.

The two men drowned Sunday during a fishing trip in the Indian Springs area of Lake Eufaula in McIntosh County. The men had gone fishing in a johnboat. When they failed to return Sunday night, family members reported the men missing, the report states.

Rescue workers recovered Stoney Tucker shortly before midnight Sunday. His body was found about 300 yards southeast of the Indian Springs boat ramp in 16 feet of water. According to the OHP report, the drownings occurred after the boat capsized.
