A.M. UPDATE: River cleanup set for end of month





The Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission is seeking volunteers for the 2012 Illinois River Clean-Up on Aug. 30.

The event offers volunteers the opportunity to preserve Oklahoma’s water resources, connect with other environmentally minded people, and enjoy a canoe trip down the Illinois River, as well as a delicious lunch for free.

Organizations, businesses, and individuals are welcome to participate. The registration period ends at noon August 28th.
