The Cherokee Nation is in the process of submitting an application to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program grant.
A draft of the fiscal year 2013 LIHEAP application is available for public review. During the review process, the public is encouraged to submit either written or verbal comments regarding the developing of the final draft of the Cherokee Nation’s LIHEAP plan.
Copies of the draft plan will be available at the Family Assistance Department at the Cherokee Nation Tribal Complex, 17675 S. Muskogee Ave., and at all tribal field offices. Comments will be accepted Aug. 15-17.
