A.M. UPDATE: Man injured in overnight shooting identified by police

A 21-year-old man was shot in the head overnight in the 600 block of N. 13th Street.



A spokeswoman for Muskogee County Emergency Medical Services said the man, identified by police as Tracy Guess Jr., was transported shortly after midnight to Muskogee Regional Medical Center.



“The initial report we received was a gunshot wound to the head,” Rebecca Smith said. “He was transported with life-threatening injuries to MRMC.”

Police said the shooting happened during an altercation at 649 N. 13th St. Guess' condition was unknown Saturday morning.
