A Warner man jailed without bond in the rape and child abuse of a 16-year-old girl appears to be a Ku Klux Klan member, police said.
Charles Allen Rash, 52, may have been a Klan recruiter, police said.
Warner Police seized several Ku Klux Klan cards in his name on a nightstand in his bedroom when he was arrested.
A search warrant return filed in Muskogee County District Court reflects items seized by Warner police include the Klan cards, $1,000 in cash and a blank application for membership in the Klan.
Also found in the refrigerator in Rash’s kitchen were two disposable cameras and one roll of film. Another roll of film was found in the refrigerator, the search warrant return states.
Some of the pictures of Rash indicate he is or purported to be an imperial wizard of the Klan, police said.
Family members wouldn’t discuss any participation in the Klan, police said.
