The Regional Prevention Coordinators of Neighbors Building Neighborhoods, along with the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission will be offering a free Responsible Beverage Service and Sales training to local retailers in Muskogee County.
The Goal of RBSS is to train store clerks, servers, bartenders and management of alcohol-serving establishments in the basic knowledge and skills to practice legal, responsible, and safe alcohol sales and services.
The training will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday at the new banquet room of Hamlin’s El Toro, 3731 W. Okmulgee Ave.
In addition to understanding the legal and social responsibility of serving and especially over-serving, participants will also be able to identify common signs that signal an underage and/or fake identification, as well as recognizing signs of intoxication. NBN will also be providing a U.S. Drivers License/I.D. Reference Guide for each organization attending that holds a liquor/beverage license.
RBSS is a program developed through the ABLE Commission and the Oklahoma State Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. To register or for information: Jeremy, (918) 683-4600.
