Emergency workers help a passenger exit a sport utility vehicle that hit a utility pole Friday evening. The vehicle hit a utility pole head-on about 5:40 p.m. Friday.
The single-vehicle accident happened across the street from the Salvation Army at 615 S. Main St. Both the driver and passenger were transported by ambulance. Their names and conditions were unavailable.
