A Muskogee man was charged Monday with three felonies for allegedly molesting a boy over a more than six-year period.
Kevin Wade Hargus, 48, was charged with:
• Child sexual abuse;
• Lewd molestation; and
• Forcible oral sodomy.
Court documents allege Hargus committed the acts between Jan. 1, 2006 and Nov. 28, 2012. A probable cause affidavit filed in the case states Hargus recently filmed one of the encounters with the juvenile boy on Hargus’ cell phone.
Hargus is held on $150,000 bond at the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility. He’s set to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 13 for his preliminary hearing.
Hargus pleaded guilty in 2011 to assault with a dangerous weapon and received a three-year suspended sentence.
