Muskogee Early Childhood Center will have a Parent University at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school, 901 Emporia St. This is a free effort with Muskogee Smart Start, Muskogee Health Department, MPS Child Nutrition Services, Three Rivers Health Center, Armstrong Bank and Muskogee Public Library.
They will share educational math and literacy activities to use with children at home and in daily activities; nutrition, including a taste test of a new recipe; child guidance; dental health; storytelling and physical fitness ideas with parents. There will also be a Lego contest, with Lego sets awarded to the contest winners. A Kindle Fire will be a door prize.
