Students who were selected to represent their school but were unable to attend the recent Character Recognition Banquet will be hornored at 7 p.m. Monday at the Muskogee City Council meeting. This does not include the poster and video students, but only the boy and girl of character.
Children will be honored by Mayor Bob Coburn and the Council. Parents also are invited.
The recognition ceremony will be one of the first orders of business, and children and their parents should feel free to leave as soon as it is over. Children will receive a Certificate of Character from the mayor, and it will have the official seal of the City of Muskogee. The Council meeting will be broadcast on Suddenlink cable channel 14. The Council chamber is on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 229 W. Okmulgee Ave.
