The following places will be closed Tuesday for the New Year’s Day holiday:
Federal and state offices, Muskogee County Health Department, Muskogee City Hall, Muskogee County Courthouse, Muskogee Tag Agency, Fort Gibson Tag Agency, VA Regional Office, Muskogee County Transit, and Rural Water District #5.
The U.S. Federal Courthouse will be closed Monday and Tuesday. The Muskogee Public Library will close at 6 p.m. Monday and remain closed until Wednesday.
The Muskogee County Treasurer’s office, 400 W. Broadway, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, for those seeking to pay their annual property taxes.

Muskogee Sanitation Department residential routes will not run Tuesday. All residential routes will run one day behind their regular scheduled day. Commercial routes will not run Tuesday and will resume regular routes on Wednesday. No yard waste pick-up for the week.

Financial institutions: Communication Federal Credit Union, Muskogee Federal Credit Union, Firstar Bank, Citizens Security Bank, Armstrong Bank, American Bank, BancFirst, IBC Bank, and all BOk locations. Arvest Bank will close at 5 p.m. Monday and will be closed Tuesday.

The Muskogee Phoenix business offices will be closed Tuesday.

U.S. Post Office:
Post office windows are closed Tuesday, with no mail delivery.
Post office box area is open.
Express mail will be delivered.
