Keep Oklahoma Beautiful has notified the Environmental Conservation ASB Team and the University of Texas-Dallas that their cleanup efforts this spring at Sequoyah State Park in Oklahoma will receive a boost from funds made available by OGE Energy Corp. The group is one of 20 across the state selected for a $250 cash award and will join volunteers across the state during the 2010 Great American Cleanup.
Twelve students from The University of Texas at Dallas are spending their spring breaks by volunteering. The students will work in Sequoyah Bay State Park in March to help restore the area to its natural beauty.
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful encourages cities and organizations to commit to beautifying their communities year round, but places an emphasis on it during the GAC from March 1 - May 31.
