A Tahlequah woman was listed in fair condition Wednesday in St. John Medical Center in Tulsa from injuries sustained in a Monday wreck.
Sherry E. Parks, 57, entered the hospital with head injuries, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries in critical condition Monday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Parks was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile eastbound on U.S. 62 at 4:28 p.m., at 5-mile Road and took evasive action to avoid traffic in the roadway that had stopped to avoid hitting a dog, the OHP said.
Parks ran off south of the roadway edge, striking a tree. She was pinned for approximately 15 minutes. Her seat belt was in use, and the vehicle was equipped with airbags, which did not deploy, according to the OHP.
