A Gore man who was featured on “America’s Most Wanted” in 2010 pleaded guilty Friday in Muskogee County District Court to lewd molestation.
Alvin Eugene Webster, 38, was sentenced to 25 years in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections with all except the first seven years suspended.
Webster was charged Feb. 24, 2010, with lewd molestation and was arrested Oct. 13, 2010, by U.S. deputy marshals in Tulsa for failing to register as a sex offender.
Webster was arrested after a Tulsa resident recognized him on an episode of “America’s Most Wanted.”
Webster had been scheduled to plead to the lewd molestation charge in Muskogee County in February, but court records state that he was then in federal custody in Kentucky. Webster couldn’t plead here until he was released from Kentucky.
Webster will spend almost six years in prison before he becomes eligible for parole because state law requires a person convicted of lewd molestation to serve 85 percent of the sentence.
Court records show that District Judge Mike Norman stipulated Webster must comply with sex offender and supervised probation rules after he is released.
Webster must also pay a $500 fine report to the Muskogee County District Court within three days of his eventual release for a hearing to determine his ability to pay his court costs and probation fees.
Court records show Webster pleaded guilty to another count of lewd molestation April 17, 2008, in Sequoyah County.
Webster was sentenced to 20 months in federal prison, followed by 60 months of supervised release Sept. 7, 2011 for failure to register as a sex offender.
