Muskogee Early Childhood Center will host a “Parent University” at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the school, 901 Emporia. The event is a collaborative effort with Muskogee Smart Start, Muskogee Health Department, MPS Child Nutrition Services, Three Rivers Health Center, Armstrong Bank and Muskogee Public Library.
“Parent University” will share educational math and literacy activities to use with children at home and in daily activities; nutrition, including a taste test of a new recipe; child guidance; dental health; storytelling and physical fitness ideas with parents.
There also will be a Lego contest, with Lego sets being awarded to the contest winners. A Kindle Fire will be given as a door prize.
The event is free and open to the public.
