Two people who were wanted for allegedly starting a fire at a local motel while manufacturing methamphetamine were arrested Friday.
Joshua Wade Frazier, 29, of Fort Gibson and Paultricia Walker, 30, of Muskogee were arrested at approximately 5:30 p.m. They were booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on complaints of endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and first-degree arson, said Lt. Andy Simmons of the Muskogee Police Department.
Police began looking for the pair after a fire began Thursday at the Catalina Motel, 540 S. 32nd St.
Police learned Frazier and Walker were at the American Inn Motel, 200 S. 32nd St. While police were watching a motel room, four people ran from the room. Two were found in the back yard of a residence near 30th and Garland streets.
“We didn’t apprehend the other two, but we know who they are,” Simmons said.
Walker also was wanted on another warrant for allegedly endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance and possession of material with intent to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance. That warrant was issued as the result of an investigation into a fire on a trash truck, Simmons said.
Materials used to manufacture meth were disposed of and picked up by sanitation workers. Those workers heard a pop, and a fire started in the trash truck. The trash was dumped into a parking lot at a motel on 32nd Street and police recovered evidence against Walker, Simmons said.
