From humble beginnings as a simple soup pot in San Francisco in 1891, the iconic Salvation Army Red Kettle has not only circled the globe but also gone digital with the creation of the Online Red Kettle at www.onlineredkettle.org.
The Online Red Kettle is an easy way to support the programs and services The Salvation Army provides to the Muskogee community year-round.
Create your own individual or team kettle at www.onlineredkettle.org by following a few, simple instructions. Then use email, Facebook, Twitter or even LinkedIn to invite friends, family, coworkers and other potential donors to make a simple, 100-percent secure online donation to your kettle.
This year, there is a contest in the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division. The contest is open to residents who open accounts and create an individual, team or corporate kettle. Categories include Top Individual Kettle, Top Team Kettle, Top Corporate Kettle, Kettle with the highest single gift, and Top Salvation Army Corps Kettle. Information: www.onlineredkettle.org.
