Missing woman caught in Tulsa

Nunley wanted in Muskogee County on six outstanding warrants

— A Muskogee woman who was reported missing in September and is wanted by police on several warrants was arrested in Tulsa on Monday.

Tenesha Nunley, 28, was arrested by the Tulsa Police Department on complaints of speeding in a school zone and obstructing justice.

Muskogee County has placed a hold on Nunley, who will be brought to the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility when she bonds out or completes the case in Tulsa, said Lt. Bobby Lee, with the Muskogee Police Department.

“We canceled the missing person’s report last week, because she was seen at some schools on video by officers in Tulsa,” Lee said.

Nunley has six outstanding warrants in Muskogee County.

The most recent before she was reported missing is for failing to appear at a hearing in a drug case in which she was charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute.

Nunley was arrested Sept. 11 after Muskogee investigators received a tip she was allegedly selling PCP from her home on Howard Street.

According to court records, she made $25,000 bond two days later, then failed to appear for a court hearing that afternoon and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Nunley’s family reported her missing five days later — saying they hadn’t seen her since the day of her arrest.

Nunley has had several run-ins with the law over the last two years.

On Sept. 25, the district attorney’s office filed a felony distribution of controlled drug substance charge against her, in which she also has a warrant for her arrest.

Nunley is serving a 10-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty in 2010 to being an accessory to felony for harboring two men involved in the fatal Arrowhead Mall shooting.

She has a warrant for her arrest in that case to appear in court for possible revocation of the suspended sentence. Additionally, Nunley also faces revocation of her sentence in a 2011 bogus check case.

As of Monday afternoon, Nunley was held in the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center in Tulsa on two $500 bonds.
