Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, some businesses and offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. They include county and federal offices, Muskogee County Transit, the Muskogee and Fort Gibson tag agents, Rural Water District #5, Muskogee City Hall, and the Muskogee Public Library.
Offices and businesses that will be closed only Thursday include the VA Regional Office, the Muskogee Post Office (post office box area will remain open), and area financial institutions.
The Public Works Department said residential sanitary routes will run on schedule except Thursday, which will run on Friday. Commercial routes will run as scheduled, but not on Thursday. There will be no yard waste pickup for this week.
