— Leo Young puts a box of food in a vehicle during a giveaway Saturday at Timothy Baptist Church, 5530 W. Okmulgee Ave. The Rev. Kelly Payne, the church’s pastor, said the congregation wanted “to do sort of regular food instead of holiday food this year.” The line of cars was so long that some of them overheated. “We did 100 boxes, and unfortunately we have more cars that that,” Payne said. “If people don't think we have a problem with hunger in Muskogee, they can look at this for proof.”
