High-heels walk benefit is today

— A walk to raise awareness about domestic violence by men wearing high heels begins at 8:30 a.m. today with registration for any who wish to participate in front of JCPenney at Arrowhead Mall.

The cost to register is $10, which is donated to Women in Safe Home.

Men will begin strolling, or stumbling, about 9:30 a.m.

Trophies will be awarded for the biggest group fundraiser, biggest individual fundraiser, best-decorated heels and more.

Some heels are available to lend for the event.
