Muskogee school bus involved in wreck

A Muskogee Public Schools school bus was involved in a collision Wednesday afternoon in Oklahoma City, said Melony Carey, MPS spokeswoman.

None of the special education students on board were hurt. Students on the bus were on their way to Special Olympics competition in Norman when the bus was hit from behind by a tractor-trailer rig which caused the bus to be pushed into another vehicle.

The bus sustained minor damage, but another bus will be sent to Norman to transport students to Muskogee following the Olympics.

The students were escorted from the scene of the collision to their motel.
