Store employee clubbed, robbed

— A Kum & Go employee making a bank deposit was robbed at gunpoint Sunday, Muskogee Police Department investigators said.

The employee, an unidentified female, was taking the deposit to Firstar Bank near Chandler Road and Washington Street when she was struck from behind, Lt. Bobby Lee said.

Investigator Rob Frazier said they believe the woman was struck with a handgun. The woman told police her attacker took the deposit bag and stole her vehicle. Frazier said the vehicle was recovered at East Okmulgee Avenue and Utah Street.

Lee said the only description police have of the suspect is a “male subject, dressed in black.”

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Muskogee Police Department, (918) 683-8000, or Crime Stoppers at (918) 682-2677 to leave an anonymous tip.
