BREAKING NEWS: Tullahassee man pleads no-contest in slaying of wife

WAGONER — Marvin Gaines, 63, pleaded no-contest Friday to first-degree manslaughter for killing his wife, Walter "Mae" Gaines, 49, during an argument that took place March 27, 2011, at the couple’s Tullahassee home. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Marvin Gaines' jury trial had been scheduled to begin Monday.
