Five people were injured in a wreck late Sunday evening near Porum, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
A 2002 Lincoln driven by Neoma Clinton, 74, of Porum veered left of center on Ross Road at EW 109 Road about 10 p.m. The Lincoln hit a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Shannon Poteete, 40, of Muskogee and caused it to roll over twice.
The cause of the collision is listed as left of center. The report also lists Poteete as being impaired by drinking.
Clinton, her husband, James Clinton, 75; and Poteete and his passenger, Belinda McDonald, 49, of Muskogee, were treated for minor injuries and released from Muskogee Regional Medical Center. A second passenger refused treatment.
Peggy Toney, 43, of Porum, also a passenger of Poteete’s, was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Toney’s condition was unavailable Monday.
The report states the Clintons both wore seat belts, but only McDonald wore a seat belt in Poteete’s car. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.
