Trials for two men charged in separate assaults were postponed Monday,
District Judge Tom Alford upheld attorney Bret Smith’s motion to pass trials for Brad West and Scotty Ellis to the February jury docket.
Alford said he considered it fair to postpone the trials, pending a requested investigation into alleged potential district attorney’s office eavesdropping.
