Darkwood Films, a local production company, will hold western movie auditions during Muskogee’s Heritage Days Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Festival will be held on the grounds of Three Rivers Museum in the downtown Depot District.
Townspeople, outlaws, lawmen, saloon girls and gamblers will be auditioned. Anyone interested should come in their best western gear. “Authentic clothing is best,” Darkwood director Shiron Ray said in a media release. “But, ‘drug store’ costumes will be acceptable.”
Those in the best costumes may be given a line to read for the audition.
Darkwood Photography will have some accessories on hand for the costume-challenged. Several westerns are to be shot during the coming year in and around the Muskogee area, and will offer paid and unpaid positions.
“This is a great opportunity for aspiring actors,” Ray said.
