At its regular meeting Monday, the Muskogee City Council Public Works and Finance Committee approved:
Public Works Committee
• Closing a portion of a 10-foot utility easement located on the back of Lot 18 in Amended Cobblestone Villas Addition to the City of Muskogee.
• Ordinance setting out what past sales tax were approved for.
• Mutual police assistance agreement with the Town of Okay.
• Mutual fire assistance agreement with Muskogee County Emergency Medical Service, Taft Volunteer Fire Department, Braggs Volunteer Fire Department, and Fort Gibson Fire Department.
• Final report on the pilot program for process server, close program, and authorize Planning Department to go out for bids for a process server.
• Rorex Bridges Studio's request of replacing tiles on columns outside the Civic Center at no charge to the city.
• Finance Department documents for destruction.
Finance committee
• Agreement for $27,204 for trail design and bidding services with LandPlan Consultants Inc. for Centennial Trails Phase IV.
• Amendment to agreement for engineering services for the Coody Creek Outfall Phase IA with Holloway, Updike and Bellen Inc., to perform bait away of the American Burying Beetle prior to construction as required by the Oklahoma Water Resource Board and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
• Neighbors Building Neighborhoods Inc. cooperative agreement.
• Agreement for administration of the sales tax ordinance as well as Use Tax Ordinance increasing tax to 4 percent effective Oct. 1, with the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
• Resolution waiving the adoption fee for dogs and cats, on the third Saturday of every month and on days shelter animals are taken to the Farmers’ Market.
In a special meeting of the Muskogee Municipal Authority Tuesday, two items were approved:
• Awarding the $832,958.67 construction contract for the Coody Creek Phase IA Outfall Replacement Project to Cook Construction and Crane Service Inc.
• Agreement for engineering services on wastewater consent order projects with Holloway, Updike and Bellen Inc., as required by the consent order with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.
