A Muskogee man is in jail after allegedly shooting his girlfriend late Friday night.
Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office investigator Faye Banks said Sammy Clark, 22, shot Autumn Snyder after the pair argued about breaking up.
Clark is held at the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility awaiting arraignment.
Banks said Snyder was shot multiple times with a .22-caliber rifle at her parents’ house 2 1/2 miles south of the Oklahoma 16 and Oklahoma 72 junction.
“She was shot all over,” Banks said.
Investigators have the gun with which Snyder was allegedly shot, Banks said.
Snyder was flown from Muskogee Regional Medical Center to a Tulsa hospital, where she was placed on oxygen and a ventilator.
“She’s holding her own right now,” Banks said. “I’ve seen some people shot just once with a .22, and they die.”
Banks said Clark drove Snyder to MRMC after the shooting.
“He said they were moving some boxes and the gun went off,” Banks said.
