A.M. UPDATE: Former Wagoner Public Schools employee sentenced in federal court

— A Former Wagoner Public Schools employee was sentenced to probation Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Mary Ella Gaylor, 65, was sentenced to five years probation for federal program theft, and five years probation for obstructing an audit.

Both counts will be served concurrently.

Gaylor, who was food service director and school treasurer during her time with WPS, was found guilty of embezzling more than $270,000.
