An Oktaha man was charged Tuesday in Muskogee County District Court with embezzlement.
William Dewaine French Jr., 40, is alleged to have embezzled more than $10,000 while a salesman for A&B Distributors between April 2011 and September 2011.
The probable cause affidavit filed in the case states French would receive cash from customers for a product and then erase the invoice. He would later file a fraudulent invoice for a lower amount, and pocket the difference, the affidavit states.
French is free from the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on $5,000 bond. He’s set to appear in court at 10 a.m. Oct. 2 for his sounding docket to determine a date for his preliminary hearing.
