Free men’s health event set Sept. 20

— Muskogee Community Hospital, a campus of Muskogee Regional Medical Center, will be hosting a free men’s health event from 7 a.m. to noon Sept. 20. The campus is located at 2900 N. Main St.

Participants should enter through the facility’s main entrance. Pre-registration is required as there are a limited number of appointments available.

This is an annual event for Muskogee Regional, which plans to offer cholesterol, blood glucose, and blood pressure screenings. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to know their BMI (Body Mass Index) if they know their height and weight. Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) also will be offered this year. To get the most accurate reading on the cholesterol and glucose tests, it is recommended that men not eat or drink anything after midnight the day before the screenings after checking with their doctor.

Registrations will be taken Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (918) 684-2191.
