Grand jury hands down indictments

The Muskogee man suspected of robbing the Bank of Oklahoma Branch at 300 N. 32nd St. on Friday was among several persons indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury here.

Roger Reed Jr., 23, is accused in the bank holdup and faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted, U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling stated in a press release.

Reed was identified from photos taken on bank cameras and arrested Monday in Alexander, Ark.

Others indicted Tuesday included:

• William Eric Creech, 22, of Park Hill. Indictment alleges manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

The indictment alleges Creech was in possession drug-making chemicals and a Bryco 9 mm Jennings pistol and numerous rounds of ammunition during a traffic stop June 3.

• Alejandro Perez-Padron, aka William A. Vellasquez, 27, of Roland. Indictment alleges possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

Perez-Padron allegedly had a loaded pistol tucked in his waistband and had 24 rounds of ammunition on June 6 when a search warrant was served on him. He also allegedly had six clear baggies of what is believed to by crystal methamphetamine.

• Zane Dee Wilson, 40, of Coweta, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession and discharge of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, possession of a firearm silencer or muffler, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of an unregistered firearm.

Wilson allegedly had chemicals and supplies used in drug manufacturing, three rifles and two shotguns in his possession when officers served a search warrant on his home on April 29.
