A tea party, set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Civitan Park, 3301 Gibson St., will feature a tree-planting, music and speakers.
Participants will plant a 10-foot elm “Liberty Tree” at the park during the two-hour event. Opera singer Barbara McAlister and recording artist Glen Wadsworth will perform. Speakers include Jeff McIlroy with Oklahomans for Fair Tax and Stuart Jolly, director of Americans for Prosperity, Oklahoma Chapter.
The two-hour event also features voter registration. Tea and cookies will be served.
