A session on how to protect yourself and your children around strange dogs will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 15 at the Tahlequah Public Library, 120 S. College Ave.
Canine experts Pam Hixson and Toni Bailey will discuss how to approach a strange dog, how to shield yourself from a vicious dog and how to tell your children about dogs. The two also will answer questions on dog training and protecting your pets from the heat or cold.
Hixson trains dogs for search, rescue and herding. Bailey is experienced with show and agility dogs.
